Leytonstone station is only an 8 minute walk and Leyton Midland station is a 10 minute walk, with both getting me into the City in 20 mins. I have found it to be a vibrant and diverse neighbourhood, surrounded by Epping Forest, popular with young professionals like me, and the pubs, cafes and restaurants are great!"

Just two stops from Stratford, Leytonstoners can nip to the Kent coast with surprising ease, but Central London or the City on the tube might be more useful - the former takes about 25 mins and the latter 15 mins. Easy.

Too many pubs to choose from… What a problem to have. With The Red Lion, Heathcote and Star, The Hitchcock Hotel, The North Star, Leytonstone Tavern, locals are spoilt for choice. Better bring your pub crawl A-game if you visit.

Despite all the urban bustle, Leytonstone has an abundance of wide, tree-lined streets brimming Victorian and Edwardian property, ranging from the grand homes in Upper Leytonstone, a stone’s throw from Hollow Ponds, to the many terraces of South Leytonstone, and the popular community of Bushwood with its active residents’ association.
